With a textured 100-year history, many at quiet, quirky Pacific University will tell you it’s the Northwest’s best kept secret in higher education.

And they’re right. 

Yet even with a long history, Pacific University struggled to differentiate its small private liberal arts school from other “Pacifics” and institutions in the region. 

DHC led Pacific in a university-wide effort that redefined its brand story. This included a new identity, school colors, brand platform and an internal and external launch strategy. To inform strategy, DHC conducted comprehensive research including 300 individual inputs from one-on-one interviews, phone interviews and focus groups, a competitive analysis, and an internal audit of materials across all of Pacific’s programs and departments. 

Over time, the new brand has been fully integrated and accepted by the Pacific community, and the school is well on its way to meeting aggressive admissions goals.
